Michela completed her education in Economics and Commerce at the University of Bologna, and earned an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Mib, Trieste School of. Management. Upon completion of her Master’s Degree, Michela attended specialist courses at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Michela’s international experience includes serving as an expert in the control of hazardous loads for the National Cargo Bureau in New York, and as an expert in the sector of Cargo and Loads for ZIM Lines’ New York’s west coach branch. Following her work abroad, Michela returned to Italy and joined OCEAN srl, a family business operating in the maritime industry. She has served on their board of directors and has been the company’s chief executive officer since 2010.
In 2014, Michela became a member of the board of trustees of the Fondazione Internazionale Trieste per il Progresso e la Libertà delle Scienze, and served as the president of the steering committee at IRCS BURLO GARFOFALO (hospital) from 2015 to 2019. In addition, Michela sits on the management boards of other industrial and banking companies, and holds associative positions at Confindustria, and other national and international entities. Michela is married and has two children.
