Who we are

Sustainable philanthropy for a social impact
and the empowerment of the younger generations

Our foundation is targeted at the young and the more vulnerable and aims to emancipate them and develop their potential. In collaboration with our partners, we offer a wide range of activities designed to boost each person’s educational, cultural and social development. Our strategic philanthropy is very close to the concept of venture philanthropy and endeavours to provide the best possible support for the community, so as to maximize social benefit.

Our history

We were born as a not-for-profit organization supporting the corporate community of the Pittini Group of steel companies, in memory of the founder Cav. Andrea Pittini’s son, Pietro Pittini, following his untimely death.

Over the years, we have worked together with the group’s associates to support the community in which the company operates.

After the founder’s death in 2016, we embarked on a process of transformation, extending the foundation’s philanthropic activities to include a broader range of beneficiaries, particularly young people and children.

Since then, we have implemented and supported initiatives aiming to provide greater emancipation and educational and occupational development for the individual, and social and cultural support, with sustainability as a priority, so as to maximize social benefits.

Our values

We believe in the young, in merit and boldness, in ingenuity and in innovative ideas in support of the less fortunate. We believe in new models of social innovation and in exploring new models of welfare that put a premium on inclusiveness and constructive support. We believe in collaboration with other partners and in the pursuit of innovative ideas for the support of the more vulnerable. We believe in extending the range of contexts in which business culture can be applied and in management skills. We are convinced that methodology, project accountability and the assessment of benefits are essential in developing effective measures. This is why we concentrate on identifying specific measures of strategic philanthropy aimed at maximizing social benefits. It is our belief that charity as an end in itself is barren: adequate funding is undoubtedly necessary, but must be associated with clearly defined goals and improvements that can be measured and sustained.
